origin: Name probably dates from 1885 use as a district name, taken from the residence name "Kenmore Park", used by Andrew Todd ( - ) after his birthplace in Scotland. There are two Kenmore names in Scotland, one a locality near Loch A'Chracaich (Ross & Cromarty) and one a village on Loch Tay, south west of Aberfeldy. Kenmore is reportedly Gaelic for big headland.
history: Name and boundaries approved by Queensland Place Names Board 11 August 1975. Boundary altered by the Minister for Natural Resources 26 May 2000.
