This data set displays the location of all field sites where the orientations of primary and tectonic structures have been measured during field work. Some sites have also been digitised from previously published or unpublished maps and the structural data recorded at these sites captured into the database. In addition to the features shown in the Primary Structures and Tectonic Structures layers, this dataset includes all other measurements made. These include primary structures such as paleocurrent indicators like cross-bedding, ripple marks and parting lineations. It also includes other tectonic structures such as fold axes and axial planes, joints and faults. |
